The full Spanish title is El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha. In the relief, Don Quixote is seen riding on horseback and leading his squire, Sancho Panza, who rides a donkey. The two characters have been the subject of many artworks and have become recognizable figures. Inscribed on the top right of the face is "DON QUICHOTE."
