Nubian Man Mask - Item #158

Life-size. This mask is from the bust known as Büste eines Arabers created by German sculptor Rudolf Thiele (1856-1930). In the bust, the man wears a headscarf while the top of his drapery is visible, falling below his right shoulder. In a beautiful pose, his right shoulder is raised while the other is lowered, and his head is turned to the right as well.
