An artist's reduction of the original by Robert Kraus that is 13 inches in diameter (see page 136 of the 1911 P.P. Caproni and Brother catalog). Several monumental sculptures by Robert Kraus (1850-1901) grace the Boston area, including the Boston Massacre Monument. The Christian preacher and political reformer Girolamo Savonarola (1452-1498) was the leader of Florence after the Medici family was overthrown in 1494.
